Dear Patients and Parents,
After 26 years of direct patient care, I have decided that I need to step back from the day-to-day demands of Pediatric Associates. This decision has been a very difficult one for me to make, primarily because I will miss the close interaction that I have had with so many of you. I will still be associated with Pediatric Associates and will be available on a limited basis for a few days each month to assist those of you who have on-going medical problems which can reasonably be handled on an intermittent basis. I will also be available to do a limited number of annual exams or well baby exams during these times. As of July 1, 2000 my availability for routine appointments will be significantly curtailed and I will no longer be accepting new patients. I do expect from time to time to return to see patients on a more full time basis as office demands require, such as when physicians are on vacation or taken ill, and I hope to see many of you then.
I know that for some of my patients this decision will be a disappointment. I want to assure you that I will do everything in my power to make the transition an easy one. I know that you share with me confidence in my associates at Pediatric Associates and I want to assure you that they will continue to be available to you. Many of you have already met our newest physician associate, Sheila Boes M.D., who will also now be available to assist you. For those of you who would like to discuss specific concerns, I am available by phone or by personal appointment to discuss your individual needs.
David E. Gamble M.D.
