About Dr. Samuel Mirrop

Dr. Samuel Mirrop has been practicing medicine at Pediatric Associates of Austin (located between Rosedale and Tarrytown) for more than twenty years. Respected by both patients and peers in the area, many of his patients highly recommend him to others who need a pediatrician. Due to his expertise and experience, Dr. Mirrop is highly regarded in the community.

After completing his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Mirrop went to medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He then completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at the University of California at Davis. Following his residency program, Dr. Mirrop served as UC Davis’ Chief Resident of Pediatrics for a year before coming back to Austin.

Today, Dr. Mirrop is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

Since joining Pediatric Associates of Austin in 1994, Dr. Mirrop has had a wide impact on the medical community in Austin. His passion and heart for pediatrics are always on display. In addition to treating children at the practice, Dr. Mirrop also:

  • Served on the Peer Review Committee at Children's Hospital of Austin (now Dell Children's Medical Center)
  • Taught residents and students at Children's Hospital of Austin
  • Served as President of the Pediatric Physician Alliance of Central Texas
  • Served on the Seton Medical Center Medical Executive Committee
  • Served on the board of the Ronald McDonald House of Central Texas
  • Served as Chief of the Perinatal Council at Seton Medical Center

In addition to these medical positions, Dr. Mirrop has had the honor of being recognized in Texas Monthly’s Super Doctors, Austin Monthly’s Best Doctors, and Best Doctors in America as one of the region's leading pediatricians.

Currently, Dr. Mirrop is actively serving as:

  • A member of the Perinatal Council at Seton Medical Center
  • A board member for the Pediatric Physician Alliance of Central Texas
  • A committee member of the Pediatric Clerkship Task Force at Dell Medical School

When not at Pediatric Associates of Austin, Dr. Mirrop enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and daughter. He is also an avid Star Wars fan.
